Classical Association of WNY Fall Distinguished Speaker and Meeting

Salvete Comites!

The CAWNY Fall Meeting is fast approaching on Saturday, November 2nd.  New CAWNY members are most welcome.  Bring a friend! We are thrilled to welcome Professor Neil Coffee as our distinguished guest speaker, presenting a talk titled "Seneca on Social Engagement vs. Retirement."  Specific details are listed below, and on the attached flyer.
Day:  Saturday, November 2nd
Time:  10:00am
Location:  The Goetz Library 338 Millard Fillmore Academic Center on the University at Buffalo North Campus.
Parking on the UB campus is free on the weekend.  I recommend parking in the Fargo lot at the Ellicott Complex (number 50 on the attached map).  Please enter Fillmore through the tunnel for building access.  Signs will be posted to help with directions.  You can access an interactive campus map here: or print out the attachment.

Light refreshments will be served and a brief business meeting will follow.  We will feature an emporium/book exchange.📚  Feel free to donate and take books for your own library.
The business meeting will include a summary of the recent JCL Fall Festival and the 2019 CAES Institute.  One important point of discussion will be to take volunteers for the writing and editing of our Checkpoints A and B exams.  Note that only current, paid members will be allowed to access and edit drafts, so renew your membership for 2019-2020 this weekend!

I am looking very much forward to seeing you all this Saturday.  Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions, comments, or even additions to our meeting’s agenda.
