CLOSED - Latin Teaching Position for 2019-2020

CLOSED - East Syracuse Minoa Central School District in Syracuse, NY will have a 1.0 Latin teaching position open for the 2019-2020 school year to cover a leave of absence. The position would be an 8th grade (middle school building) Latin 1 class, 9th grade Latin 2, 10th grade Latin 3, 11th grade Latin 4 (a literature class co-enrolled with State University of New York), and 12th grade Latin 5 (another literature class co-enrolled with SUNY), all meeting at the high school.

Applicants must be NYS certified. 2019 Christina Elliot Sorum Memorial Lecture at Union College


The 2019 Christina Elliot Sorum Memorial Lecture will take place on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Union College in Schenectady, NY. This year Professor Jeanne Neumann from Davidson College will present "Est enim Difficilis Curarum Rerum Alienarum: Terence and his contemporary adulescentes." The lecture will begin at 5 p.m. and is located in Karp Hall #105.
